At 18, I started working in a small suburban bottleshop, largely to buy cheap beer. It was my first year of university, slogging through physics and chemistry, so a liquor shop seemed like fun. But then, I fell in love with wine and craft beer, and it took over my life. Twenty-three years (and two university degrees later) and writing about beer, wine and alcoholic drinks is my world.

Once declared a 'Wine Journalism Young Gun' and a former Lifestyle Channel wine expert, I've written for Gourmet Traveller Wine, National Liquor News & a smorgasbord of indie publications, run my own corporate wine events company, bang on about wine beer on my own site (Australian Wine Review) and judge at wine shows around the world.

As the editor & Grand Poobah of the Kaddy Community I touch all parts of this site so you'll often see me around discussions.
